Guabirá fired 'Tucho' Antelo and has Vigevani in his sights

The third cycle of Víctor Hugo ‘Tucho’ has come to an end Antelo as coach of Guabirá.

The directory chaired by Rafael Paz He decided this Friday his departure after the 4-0 defeat suffered by the sugar producers in Cochabamba on Thursday against Wilstermannn for the first phase of the Copa Sudamericana.

Six games this season were decisive for this to happen with the coach who led the Reds to the Copa Sudamericana.

In the Apertura tournament he added two draws and three defeats. To these was added the win against the aviators for the Conmebol championship.

Guabirá occupies the last place in group A of the Apertura standings. In addition, the hard setback in the Llajta complicated the picture even more because it will be difficult to overcome the 4-0 in the rematch that will be played next Thursday in Montero.

Is Vigevani coming?

Despite the fact that the northern leadership has in folder several candidates to elect Antelo’s successoreverything indicates that they will lean towards the Argentine César Vigevani.

Vigevani, 47, knows Bolivian football because in 2018 he directed Sport Boys Warnes and a year later he did it in Bolívar.

His last club was Binational of Peru in the 2020 season.

If his link with the Montero reds is made official, the brand new DT of the sugar producers will lead on Sunday (20:30) the match against Royal Pari, at the Gilberto Parada stadium, for the sixth date of the Apertura.
