“We, depending on the leadership of the president Nicolás Maduro Moros, We must defend, with all our strength, the life of the nation, which is to defend sovereignty and territorial integrity, that is why, today, with this force, we tell the United Nations (UN), do what they have to do: which is to guarantee peace! ”, said the executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the peoples of our America-Treaty of Commerce of the Peoples (ALBA-TCP), Rander Peñaby intervening in the great mobilization of the Venezuelan people before the UN Headquarters in Caracas, to deliver a message to the multilateral organ and demand that the criminals military threats in the United States cease (USA) against the country.
Peña said that “there is no room for warmth; lukewarm is a disease and the warm are warm not by conviction, but for fear”, highlighting that – before the UN headquarters – the people all claim these officials to fulfill and work on the task for which it was founded, which is nothing other than preserving the peace and sovereignty of the Member States.
He recalled that, in 2014, Latin American and Caribbean presidents, with the presence of the Venezuelan head of state, signed in Havana, Cuba, the unanimous declaration of the peace zone in the region. «The peoples of the world demand peace. Today we are, 98 % of Venezuelans who want peace to be respected in Latin America and the Caribbean, ”said Vice Minister for Latin America.
“There are no average terms to understand peace, peace is not understood more or less, peace is not defended more or less, defends itself and the people defend peace. Peace is defended with life or does not defend itself,” he said, with forcefulness before the large crowd that marched from Petare to the Chacao municipality of the Miranda state.
He made a simile with the defense of the home and the family when there is an external threat that aims to damage them, when the father or mother does not stay with crossed arms and fight.
“And that is what the Venezuelan people are doing: defend our own peace with our own life (…) Long live the Venezuelan people, live peace, live Venezuela, live Nicolás Maduro Moros!” He concluded.
