Sheinbaum argued that as of 2024 four pillars were implemented for the security strategy in a sovereign way: Attention to the causes of crime, greater intelligence and investigation, strengthening of the National Guard with its incorporation into the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) and collaboration between levels of government.
“Peace construction policy is decided sovereignly in Mexico, no one influences it, only our honesty, conviction, certainty and perseverance,” said the president.
He stressed that until September there is a reduction in the intention of 32%nationwide, especially in Zacatecas with a decrease of 88%in this crime, Chiapas in 73%, Jalisco with 62%, Nuevo León with 61%, Guanajuato with 47%, Sonora with 46%, Puebla with 45%, Tabasco with 44%, State of Mexico with 43%, Baja California in 25% 22%.
The president defended her proposal to reform the Amparo Law, which she affirmed guarantees the rights of citizens before any act of authorities, as well as seek faster and more expedited justice.
“(It will) prevent the amparo from becoming a shelter for the life of the potentates before, who do not want to pay their taxes,” he said.
