According to the Attorney General’s Office, Sandra Lucía Téllez had received a 28 -year prison sentence in 2016, however, after various amparos, a federal judge granted that the owner of the ABC nursery continues her criminal process in freedom for the aforementioned crimes.
It was until the year 2022 that the woman no longer appeared before the Unit of Federal Precautionary Measures and there was a record that fled to the United States, so the FGR requested before the Interpol a red card for her search and location in 192 countries.
In 2022, Téllez had requested from American authorities political asylum, however, given the alert issued by the Mexican authorities on his legal status, this person was arrested at the Eloy Migration Center, Arizona.
Since 2024, the Mexican government carried out the necessary actions to request the extradition of the woman, but it was not until this October that was transferred to the border crossing of Nogales, Sonora, where she was delivered to the Attorney General’s Office.
Once the arrest warrant was completed, the accused was transferred to the Women’s Social Reintegration Center, in Hermosillo, and made available to the judge of the case.
