The coordinating prosecutor against organized crime, Jorge Chávez Cotrina, assured that it will be the investigation that determines whether the complaint to open an investigation into an alleged “shadow cabinet” of peter castle It was done with a false signature and supplanting the identity of the alleged complainant.
As reported by Successful, Juan Carlos Ramírez Rodríguez, whose name appears on the document that served as the basis for the Second Supraprovincial Corporate Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime to open the investigation against Pedro Castillo’s advisers, has indicated that his signature was forged and that he did not file the complaint.
Jorge Chávez explained that at the time of receiving the complaints, the Public Ministry does not have a formula to determine if the signatures are false or not. “A complaint is received and investigated”he specified.
The coordinator of the organized crime prosecutor’s office also refuted the fact that the alleged complainant presented a letter denouncing the impersonation of his identity on February 25 and that on March 4 he went to the prosecutor’s office to ratify this version in person.
“What the provincial prosecutor is doing is obviously determining whether or not that signature is false within her investigations and then she will determine the results of it. Investigation “shadow cabinet” will continue
Chávez Cotrina supported the decision to open the investigation despite the identity theft complaint, since he does so based on public information such as the testimonies of former ministers and the former Secretary General of the Presidential Office, Carlos Jaico.
“What would have happened if I didn’t investigate? They would have said that although the signature is false and the facts are public, why did you not continue with the investigation? Dr. has done well to initiate investigation […] What he informs me is that he has taken this as public fact and as criminal news and is going to continue with his investigation.”he concluded.
The “shadow cabinet” case
Provincial prosecutor Irene Mercado Zavala decided to open a preliminary investigation of Pedro Castillo’s advisors and Government Palace workers involving Biberto Castillo León, Beder Camacho Gadea and Jaime Idrogo Mejía for the alleged crime of criminal organization within the Government.
Others implicated in these inquiries are Wilson Petrel Mostacero, Rodolfo Ramírez Apolinario, Franco Pomalaya Neyra, José Luis Cristóbal Quispe and Sandra Paico Carrasco.
Jorge Chávez Cotrina confirmed that the first proceedings ordered by the prosecutor Mercado were to summon the complainant and the former ministers who questioned the role of the advisers to the President of the Republic.
However, he pointed out that apart from the complainant who alleges impersonation of his identity, no former minister has gone to the prosecution. “I hope that the former ministers and the former secretary general go to the prosecution to ratify what they have said and deliver the evidence they have”he exhorted.
