The National Armed Forces (FAN) this Saturday, October 4, a series of “special military exercises”, ordered by Nicolás Maduro two days ago to “defend with weapons” against a possible armed aggression by the United States.
General in Chief Domingo Hernández Lárez, head of the Fan Strategic Operational Command, said that this “special exercise of command, driving and communications”, where the Bolivarian militia is included, allows the “elevation of the night levels to face a possible danger.”
“We are preparing for possible eventuality, for a possible state of exception when our commander in chief dictates that would be the transition from peace to a period of war,” said Hernández Lárez from the Plaza Bolívar de Caracas.
“Here in Venezuela we cannot have any strategic paralysis,” said the head of the CEOFAN, while recalling that they have eight comprehensive defense regions, just like 335 areas of comprehensive defensecreated last week via presidential decree.

Since August and in response to those denouncing as “threats” against the nation, Maduro has summoned Venezuelans to mobilizations and days of both enlistment in militia and training, in order to strengthen the so-called “popular-military-political fusion” and improve the national defense system.
For his part, the Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, said From La Guaira that “there is no paralysis here, there is no fear, here the one who has his business continues to work, the fishermen continue to work.”

Cabello said that “permanent communication” must be guaranteed between any sector and its command unit to receive the instructions in case of an eventual aggression.
