The National Armed Forces (Fan) announced the beginning of an investigation to determine the causes that caused the military helicopter accident where two people lost their lives, this Friday, October 3.
Through a statement, the Minister of Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, reported that the Institution’s Air Investigative Board was activated to initiate the inquiries.
The official explained that the incident occurred at approximately 8:35 am when the helicopter Enstrom 480, acronym 61647, from military aviation rushed to land “without communicating emergency failure.”

Padrino López informed that the aircraft was on a training flight. In it were the greatest Noglys Carolina García Rondón (instructor) and the corvette lieutenant Carlos Alfonzo Castillo Sánchez (pilot student). Both died in the incident.
According to the information given by godfather, the accident occurred in the area of San Vicente, Tacarigua parish of the Girardot municipality in the Aragua state; adjacent to the Mariscal Sucre air base.
At least three military aircraft have suffered accidents so far this year. On July 30, the National Armed Forces confirmed the death of seven people, including six Yanomamis indigenous and an officer who served as a co -pilot, after a plane rushed to land near Puerto Ayacucho, capital of the Amazon state.
At the end of January an accident was also raised after a plane assigned to the Interior Ministry crashed in the area of El Volcán, (Baruta Municipality, Miranda State), which left a balance of three dead.
In addition, on September 24 a Learjet 55 aircraft crashed on the track of the Maiquetía International Airport. Two people were rescued, according to INAC.
