In order to improve traffic in the road corridor that connects Bogotá with Villavicencio, the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) He announced that as of October 4, 2025 a new scheme of passage schedule will be implemented. The measure, approved in the Unified Command Post (PMU) of October 3, establishes three -hour shifts for each sense of circulation, together with a special mobility plan for the school break week and new provisions related to cargo transport, extradimensed vehicles and emergency steps.

New passage schedules on the road to the plain
From midnight on October 4, mobility by Via Bogotá – Villavicencio will work at alternate three -hour intervals for each sense. The defined scheme establishes that between 12:00 am and 3:00 am Bogotá vehicles will circulate to Villavicencio; From 3:00 am to 6:00 am will be Villavicencio’s turn to Bogotá; And so on during the day until eight shifts from three hours each.
Restrictions by type of vehicle will not be applied or the entrance to the corridor will be limited. However, in case of congestion, temporary closures can be performed at strategic control points to guarantee road safety. Among the defined sectors are Llano Cute, La Reforma, Guayabetal and the tolls of Naranjal and Boquerón in the Villavicencio – Bogotá sense, while in the Bogotá – Villavicencio direction the Uval, Boquerón 2, the board, bridge that Tame and the Bogotá portal of the Monterredondo tunnel are contemplated.

Special measures for the school break week
On the occasion of the expected transit increase during the break week, special plans for exodus and return were established. For the departure to Villavicencio, a reversible will be implemented from Bogotá to the Chipaque (K18) sector on October 4 and 11, from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.
In the Return Plan, corresponding to Holiday October 13, a total traffic closure will be applied in the Bogotá -Villavicencio sense from 1:00 pm at the El Uval traffic light. The last vehicle on that journey can pass through the K18 at 3:00 pm. From 5:00 pm, all traffic will be enabled only in the Villavicencio – Bogotá sense. The step from Bogotá to Villavicencio will resume at 12:00 am on October 14 for all types of vehicles.
As for the load restriction, on Friday, October 3 and 10, it will not apply, with the purpose of avoiding accumulation of trucks before the reversible. On Sundays 5 and 12 the measure will govern between 2:00 pm and 11:00 pm in the Villavicencio – Bogotá sense. On October 13, October 13 will have total restriction for both senses from noon until midnight from 14.
The regional peak and plate will not apply during the festive bridge, given the current conditions of the corridor. On the other hand, extra -dimensioning cargo vehicles can only travel during daytime, complying with the provisions of current resolutions.

ANI reported that ambulances will have a priority in the variant. In case of concurrence of several units, traffic will be temporarily stopped in the opposite direction once per hour or according to the urgency of patients. For this, actions will be coordinated with the Traffic and Transportation Directorate of the National Police (Ditra), the Coviandina Concessionaire Operations Center, the Emergency Regulatory Center of Villavicencio (CRUE) and the Hospital of Cáqueza together with its municipal health network.
