
The Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, urged the United States on Friday to avoid the “calculation error” of “militarily assaulting Venezuela, alluding to the Naval deployment that Washington keeps close to its coastas part of the anti -drug fight.
“They do not make a calculation error when they decide to militarily assault the people of Venezuela, they do not make that mistake, they do not make that mistake,” said Padrino López in a video broadcast on social networks.
In the message, he urged what Chavismo calls “the imperialists” to “measure their actions well” and “think their decisions well.” He also said that the “Bolivarian path of dignity and independence of this homeland will not be interrupted by any force in the world.”
The warning occurs after Thursday, the Foreign and Defense Ministries alerted about an “illegal incursion of American combat combat” approximately 75 kilometers from their coasts. Both agencies pointed out that this action is part of a “harassment pattern that cannot be tolerated” and warned that Venezuela “will fully exercise their right to defense.”
