In an interview, Minister President considered that some sections of the reforms to the Amparo Law, whose minute will be analyzed by the Chamber of Deputies, were necessary because before the procedures were “endless.”
Aguilar Ortiz granted his first press conference one month after assuming the position at the head of the “New” SCJN and refuted there some accusations that have been made to his driving, team and that of the entire organ.
For example, questioned that the Court is a source of use of Morenistas, said not to laugh, “check and see.”
“There are everyone and almost everywhere criticized me,” he said. “I have preferred technical capacity and also knowledge in human rights, that is the criteria with which we integrate the team,” he said.
Although he ruled out internal conflicts over the spaces of the headquarters, as it transpired, he acknowledged that it is reduced and there are areas that will be decentralized. He also stated that it has been criticized not to announce the quorum at the beginning of each session, but according to the new regulation that is the function of the Secretary of Agreements.
The first layoffs
The President Minister also addressed the questions made to the number of places in his presentation, but recalled that the previous presidency of the Court, which also presided over the Judicial Council and was administrative and responsibly responsible, had no presentation or had to present projects, what he should do now.

The area in which there have already been layoffs, he reported, is in the security body that the SCJN had and has been replaced by empathetic personnel, who speaks indigenous languages and has citizen contact.
There is no low productivity
On the productivity of the court, Aguilar said that he is very happy with the results achieved 30 days after the renewal of the Judiciary. ” We have almost reached the figures that the court had running in full and in rooms, ” he said.
“From 2003 to 2024, the Court, the Plenary of the Court had a productivity that went from one to five cases resolved per session. That was the productivity of the plenary. Today we are in 11 cases per session of the day,” he added.
In a little more than half a month that the Court has stated “we resolved a total of 116 cases, and that gives us a productivity of 12 cases per session,” he said.
