Who is the owner of Nacional Monte de Piedad?
National Monte de Piedad does not have an owner as such. Since 1922 it has been handled as a non -profit private assistance institution, dedicated to supporting vulnerable people through their own goods and constituting heritage for this purpose.

It all started on February 25, 1775, when Don Pedro Romero de Terreros decided to found the National Monte de Piedad, with a simple and powerful purpose: to help those who needed him the most. Why did the workers of Mount of Piedad go on strike?
From the first minute of October 1, about 2,000 workers of the National Monte de Piedad placed red and black flags in more than 300 effort branches throughout Mexico.
