After an arduous intelligence work, effective of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) managed to capture in flagrance a 39 -year -old citizen, who had 150 marijuana wrappers, with an approximate weight to 77 kilos.
The information was disseminated by the Ministry of Popular Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, through its Telegram channel, where it is highlighted that this action is part of the operation “Catatumbo 2025” and took place in the Parish Idelfonso Vásquez, Maracaibo municipality.
When using the fast response unit (URRA), after a “perfect popular, military and police fusion”, the military personnel seized two vehicles, which were being used for the transfer of narcotic and psychotropic substances. Likewise, “other implements of criminal interest” were located, which must be submitted to the corresponding legal expertise.
The case, the detainee and the evidence were placed at the order of the Public Ministry, with competence in anti -drug matters, for the corresponding legal actions.

In other information reviewed by the Telegram account of the Ministry of Popular Power of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, officials of the Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB), assigned to the unit against terrorism and subversion, managed to dismantle a cell of a structured group of organized crime (GEDO), dedicated to the extortion of merchants in the Zulia state.
This band nicknamed as “the power of gunpowder”, intimidated the merchants and after the investigations it was determined that an active policeman were part of its members.
The police part indicates that as a result of raising an attack with shooting against the facade of the hardware store “Pa that Ángel”, on September 23, 2025, in the municipality of Columbus, the investigations began, being able to verify that everything was part of an intimidating action to extort the owner of the referred local.
After the inquiries, the troops managed to locate and arrest the authors of the event, including an active official of the Municipal Police. In the operation, a Browning brand gun, 9 mm caliber, without visible serials, a loader provided with six ammunition, three cell phones and a Bera brand motorcycle, was seized.
Two citizens involved in drug microtrafficking capture
Also in the Zulia state, the patrol and surveillance work in the Lagunillas municipality, troops of the Motorized Division of the Bolivarian National Police Corps captured two subjects involved in the microtrafficking of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
In this police operation, the seizure of 380 grams of alleged marijuana was achieved, specifically in the El Danto parish, Ceiba Street and main avenue.
The detainees also carried two cellular devices and were aboard a Coupe -type vehicle, Chevrolet brand. The case was immediately sent to the Public Ministry in the Zulian entity, together with the respective police act, on the procedure executed.
