Four teams are operating in the front fights started Sunday (28) in the region of Cavalcante, a municipality of Goiás located in the region of Chapada dos Veadeiros. The fire hits the Serra da Santana area.
According to the Chico Mendes Institute (ICMBio), there is still no official estimate of the total burned area. There are no fire outbreaks at the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park so far, which remains open to visitation.
Balance released on Wednesday (1st) by ICMBio reports that the field force that fights the fire has 35 brigade members.

Of these, 24 are from the National Center for Forest Fire Prevention and Fighting (Prevfogo); 6 are from the Cavalcante Environmental Voluntary Brigade (BRIVAC); and 5, from ICMBio.
The team is assisted by five vehicles. Some properties have been hit with damage to fences and stables.
