Petrobras’ P-78 P-78 ship arrived on Tuesday (30) to the field of Buzios, in the pre-salt of the Campos Basin, 180 kilometers from the coast of Rio de Janeiro. The information was released by the state -owned company.
The structure was departed from Singapore, in Southeast Asia, on July 13. THE Platform ship is from the FPSO model (Floating Production Storage and Offloading, in Portuguese, floating production, storage and transfer unit), with production capacity of 180,000 barrels of oil, as well as compressing 7.2 million cubic meters (m³) of daily gas.
The P-78 will be the seventh platform to produce oil in the field of Buzioswho, according to Petrobras’s director of exploration and production, Sylvia Anjos, “surpassed the daily production of 900,000 barrels of oil.” Thus, the new FPSO could increase daily production by up to 20%.
In addition to the P-78, they operate in Buzios the P-74, P-75, P-76, P-77, Admiral Barroso and Admiral Tamandaré platforms.
