The National Institute for Food and Medication Surveillance (Invima) issued an alert on September 29, 2025 on several dietary supplements, including Vitafer-L, Vitafer-L Gold, Vifer Max and X-Bull. The measure was taken after detecting the presence of Tadalafiloan active substance for medications for erectile dysfunction, which was not declared in these products.
He Tadalafiloalthough effective in specific medical treatments, it can generate serious adverse effects on people with cardiovascular problems, including heart attacks, angina and arrhythmias. Its unauthorized inclusion in dietary supplements represents an important risk to public health.
Authorities’ action
The Invima ordered the Immediate market withdrawal of these products and recommended to those who have consumed them suspend its use immediately and consult a health professional. Likewise, the mail was enabled [email protected] to report adverse effects or doubts about these products.
In parallel, the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) Vitafer-l also retired for the same reason, warning about possible severe cardiovascular complications.
