The Foreign Minister Yván Gil highlighted the dignity role played by Venezuela in the framework of the 80th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization (UN), held in New York.
“We are very satisfied because in each and every one of these meetings what we have found is a validation of the truth of Venezuela, a validation of diplomacy, a validation of the Peace Zone of Latin America,” said the chancellor. The diplomat reported that the Venezuelan delegation said “more than 50 meetings with foreign ministers; we have participated in dozens of regional meetings, in forums, workshops and activities with solidarity.”
Finally, Gil said that the important thing is to highlight “the role of Venezuela, its position of defense of peace, its history, the position it has before the UN General Assembly and the position of dignity, defense and international legality. It has been a victory!”.
In New York, Gil held meetings with the UN Secretary General, António Guterres, bilateral meetings with counterparts around the world, participated in summits of various regional agencies and intervened in the General Assembly in the name of President Nicolás Maduro.
