“Through coordinated work with the Personal Search Commission (CBP), important advances were registered in the identification of a dead man and woman because of the explosion of an LP gas pipe on the Concordia bridge, Iztapalapa Mayor’s Office,” said the authority.
One of the people is Laura Lorena Barrera de la Torre, who had registered her home in Jalisco. His relatives were already contacted.
The other is Gilberto Aarón León Méndez, who had information registered in the prison. Authorities have failed to find their relatives.
The number of people killed by the explosion of an LP gas pipe recorded on September 10 at the Concordia bridge, in the Iztapalapa mayor’s office, went up to 31 during the weekend.
The LP gas pipe with more than 49,000 liters overturned on September 10 and exploded on the Concordia bridge, in Iztapalapa, in the limits of Mexico City and the State of Mexico.
Preliminarily, investigations point to speeding as a possible main cause of the accident.
