The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, said that Venezuela had never lived a situation like the current one, when the US Navy maintains warships in the Caribbean Sea, threatening the peace of Venezuela. However, he assured that all Venezuelans are willing to leave their country.
This was said during his speech at the act of the National Council for sovereignty and peace with the diplomatic corps that makes life in Venezuela, as well as with the representatives of other sectors.
He said that the external shock decree, which would be automatically activated in the event that Venezuela is attacked in its territory, gives special powers to the president to activate the mechanisms to protect the integrity of the territory.
In this regard, he compared that an economic emergency decree is still in force since last April, which arose with the purpose of dealing with the economic aggressions arising from the suspension of licenses to oil companies in the country.
He explained that hegemonism is going through a crisis, which makes it very dangerous, so it is essential to raise the United Nations Charter, in order to widely denounce what is happening.
He said that the Venezuelan people are preparing, before any external threat, and stressed that “we will never deliver to Venezuela.”
Decree with legal support
The vice president said that there are legal supports to face the current situation and that those who call for an invasion will be tried within the framework of the law.
He said that the current path is that of the National Union and that even the economic sector has overcome the difficulties through it.
He called for consciousness regarding the current situation and recalled that the economic blockade affected investors from the entire world, especially the energetic market.
«Those who think that an armed military, warlike aggression will only harm the people and the Venezuelan government, they will be wrong again, the entire country will be affected, perhaps for decades, the entire region, and the United States of North America. The people do not want war, ”he said, highlighting that the latest surveys reveal that the inhabitants of the United States do not want war in the Caribbean.
«His rulers must think very well, because the consequences are unknown. That is why the call is to the union throughout the region, ”he said.
He recalled that due to Trump’s tariff policy that originated what has been called a “commercial war”, today the United States face unprecedented inflation.
Rodriguez explained that now the “strategy is of global war” and that it requires the energy riches of Venezuela.
Great strength in Venezuela: Consciousness and Legality
The vice president said that in the face of the entire current situation, there is a whole fortress in the country.
“The first is the national conscience, and there is a compact Venezuela in the defense of our country, prepared to guarantee territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence,” he exclaimed.
Rodríguez warned that only a minority does not defend independence; “A minority excluded from republican life, a very minority, because surveys say that almost 100 percent will defend and defend Venezuela.”
He said that part of the “defense mechanisms” is the decree signed by the President, with a state of exception.
“A state of exception is economic emergency due to criminal blocking,” he said.
Another state of exception is the alarm. “If an earthquake, or internal shock arrives.”
