The former president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, said Sunday that “Venezuela can be a second Vietnam for the United States” and ratified his call to defend President Nicolás Maduro’s government before the US military deployment in the Caribbean.
“Venezuela can be a second Vietnam for the United States. Venezuela is not alone, the Bolivarian Revolution of Venezuela is not alone, we are with Maduro,” Morales said in his Sunday program.
He also reiterated that “defending Venezuela is defending Latin America and the Caribbean,” the “big homeland” and “natural resources” and the “sovereignty” of the region. “I wish there are young volunteers from all over Latin America” who are going to “strengthen militias in Venezuela,” he said from his native country.
