Frente Amplio: Progressive parties and movements announce coalition in Colombia
Various progressive, liberal, social democratic and left -wing movements announced this Sunday the creation of the Broad Fronta coalition that seeks to become a political and social alternative for Colombia, with the purpose of consolidating a project based on peace, social justice and a solidarity development model.
The announcement was made official in a statement in which political organizations indicated that the Broad Front arises in response to the current needs of the country and as an effort to unify different voices, struggles and dreams that, although they have worked independently, share the same horizon of change.
Among the parties that make up this new coalition are The Force, Mais, Colombian Democrat and the Progressive Agenda Movementin addition to the members of the coalition Unitariesmade up of the PTC, Colombian environmentalist, common and democratic hope. To these are added movements such as Popular power, yes we can, democratic integration movement and we are all Colombiaas well as social and union leaderships of the CUT, FECODE AND THE COMMUNAL MOVEMENT.

The Frente Amplio will have as the first goal to present joint lists to the Senate of the Republic and the House of Representatives, in order to form a legislative bench that unifiedly represents the progressive and democratic sectors in Congress. With this, they seek to articulate initiatives that strengthen the process of change and respond to the expectations of millions of citizens.
