Mariana González says to ignore the whereabouts of Rafael Túbares after eight months imprisoned

Mariana González, daughter of Edmundo González Urrutia, reiterated that she does not know her husband’s whereabouts, Rafael Tudares, since she was arrested more than eight months ago.

In his X accounthe insisted that Toubares was arrested “arbitrarily” and considers that he is in “forced disappearance”, since he says he has not reported his imprisonment.

“More than eight months: without a phone call, without faith of life, without knowing where they have it, without knowing how it is,” he said. He also indicated that, during the same period, she has not been able to deliver medicines or other inputs to her husband.

González explained that forced disappearance is one of the most serious and hard mechanisms against a person by the authorities of a State “and recalled that it is a violation of human rights.

On September 16, González Urrutia asked the “democratic governments of the world” to assume a “firm position” to demand the “immediate cessation” of “arbitrary arrests” in his country, which he considered “crimes.”

«Venezuela lives forced disappearances, arbitrary arrests and torture. I ask the world’s democratic governments for an urgent action to stop these crimes, ”he said in a video that accompanied a statement, broadcast on their social networks.

On June 23, Mariana González reported that a court agreed to advance her husband for the alleged crimes of “forging, conspiracy, terrorism, association, legitimation and financing”

That month reiterated that her husband has “anything to do with the political conflict that keeps him deprived of liberty,” alluding to the crisis that broke out in the country after last year’s presidential elections.
