The Mexico City International Airport yesterday experienced a new day of delays on its flights, due to flooding in one of its tracks (the right 05), which forced it to close it. Only track 05L-23R.
Given this, Volaris informed its users that due to the “heavy rain in the area” of the air terminal, “some of our operations could be affected.” Meanwhile, Viva Aerobús reported that due to climatic conditions it had suspended operations.
In social networks, users denounced delays of more than an hour.
Also some users of the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) complained.
Alejandra Escobar wrote: “Trapped in the AIFA against my will, because after the tremendous storm in the east of the CDMX, the AICM collapsed and now does not have the ability to receive flights.”
