From generation Z to generation X

From generation Z to generation X

To understand the Gene generationyou have to go back in time and alphabet. Back in 1998, the few means of opposition ironized about the alleged apathy of the so -called X Generation. The massive youth protests seemed to question everything, including the generational stereotype. From those student protests against Fujimori’s dictatorship, new promises from Peruvian politics such as Martín del Pomar, Carlos Cornejo and Dimitri Senmache came out, to mention the most notorious.

After being the child’s symbol, from Pomar, he was chosen mayor of Barranco. He was only 27 years old and was already the youngest municipal authority in the country. Those who know him say that he wanted to claim his father’s last name. Then, what is already known came: scandals, complaints and the end of a promising political career. The cases of Senmache and Cornejo were less dramatic but equally illustrative. The first ended from the interior minister of the corrupt Pedro Castillo. And the second led Tvperú’s news during the ominous Castillism.

How do you go out against the dictator Fujimori to defend the marches for the release of the dictator Pedro Castillo? There are those who become what they hate the most. And there are those who never exceed teenage fame and that is why they do not leave the bipolar dynamics of the marches. That activist logic where songs and not ideas, surnames and not concepts, slogans and not principles are repeated. That which divides the world into idealistic protesters and repressor police, heroes and villains. That which marches and protest following a route, without separating from the dough. Politics, on the other hand – and life, which is the same – is a bit more sinuous. Max Weber said it. Who does not see this is a child, politically speaking.
