Drivers of the Galván Minivanes company protested in the front of the Regional Government of Junín (GRJ) to demand that the control of the Regional Transport Directorate be carried out “for all equally”, after one day before operations were agreed against the units with tourist service permit that would be operating as urban transport.
“We want the inspection to be for everyone, not only for us. Our service is tourist and we have all the documentation in order”José Centeno said, one of the drivers. He added that “Special Service” They provide allows shipping and landing of passengers, and benefits students who need a fast and direct trip. “The real informal ones are those that operate routes without authorization and even corrupt inspectors”he denounced.
For his part, the Regional Director of Transportation, Michael Palacios, recalled that the Galván company has two authorizations: one of normal regime and another of tourism granted by the Ministry of Transportation, but warned that “Denaturates the tourist permit when it collects passengers in different whereabouts, competing unfairly with urban transport”.
“If the infraction is checked, we will begin the process for the revocation of authorization”said the official, who also reported that yesterday they began with the inspections in the northern part of the province.
