Santiago.— They were identified Three teenagers who died in the accident occurred early this Saturday on Hispano -American Avenue in this city.

Fatal victims were preliminary, as Mauricio Taveras Llibre, 17 years old; Diego Armando Chrysostom, 16; and Diego Rodríguez, 16.

In the accident, five other young people were also injured, who remain admitted in a delicate state. Some receive care in intensive care units of the Dr. Arturo Grullón University Regional Hospital, the Santiago Metropolitan Hospital (Homs) and the José María Cabral and Báez Hospital.

According to the preliminary report of the General Directorate of Terrestrial Traffic and Transportation Security (Digesett), the incident occurred around 1:10 in the morning when a white Mitsubishi truck that circulated at high speed slipped and collided with a post of the electric laying.

In the vehicle eight young people were traveling, mostly teenagers.

Digesett points out that the driver lost control before getting out of the road and hitting the post. In the preliminary report of the authorities it indicates that a 16 -year -old teenager could have been the one who was driving at the time of the accident.

The authorities maintain open research to determine the exact causes of the accident – including possible speed or mechanical failures – and have collected evidence in the scene.
