From the Miranda State, the sector vice president of politics, security, citizen and peace, Diosdado Cabello, headed this Saturday the beginning of the National Civil Protection drill, highlighting the activation of more than 400 instructional points throughout the country. The day, aimed at strengthening citizen preparation against emergencies, reaffirms the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to the integral protection of the Venezuelan people.
Hair, a key figure in the articulation of security and defense policies, stressed that the drill seeks to train the population against any contingency, “either natural or caused.” In his speech, he emphasized that the people must be the first link in the chain of response to events such as floods, earthquakes, fires or deliberate attacks.
“Who are the first to prepare? The people. They should know how to act, how to provide first aid, how to help who needs it. This is a task of all,” Cabello said firmly.
The drill is part of a national strategy promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, divided into phases that include enlistment, preparation and deployment. Cabello explained that thousands of Venezuelans, without political distinction, have actively participated in these days, receiving training in personal defense, contingency management and security protocols.
In reference to the recent telluric movements registered in Zulia, Barinas and Lara, the Minister of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace reported that 27 replicas of magnitude 4.0 were counted, without human damage. He attributed this result to the robust civil protection system and the quality of the homes built by the Bolivarian Revolution.
“More than 4 million well -made homes are part of our shield before natural disasters. But infrastructure is not enough: we need awareness, preparation and discipline,” he said.
During the day, thematic stations were deployed at the instructional points, addressing scenarios such as “earthquakes and earthquakes”, emergency medical care, safe evacuation and fire response. Firefighters, civil protection officials, FANB members and organized communities participated.
Cabello reiterated that this drill is not an isolated event, but part of a sustained policy to shield the country against any threat. “Here is the people, here is the force. Venezuela is prepared, organized and strengthened,” he concluded.
