The US State Department published a video in which they explain that drug trafficking is “a serious problem” and where they promise to dismantle these bands. In the audiovisual, the image of Nicolás Maduro also appears, where a $ 50 million reward for information that leads to its capture is offered
The United States Department of the United States published on Saturday, September 27, a message in its X account that promises to “dismantle and eliminate terrorist organizations” and free the Western hemisphere of the control of narcoterrorists.
The publication, which is accompanied by a video in which several officials speak, also shows the image of the 50 million dollars reward for information that leads to the capture of Nicolás Maduro.
The Undersecretary for the control of weapons and international security of the US, Brent T. Christensen, explains in the audiovisual that drug trafficking and related criminal activities “are a serious problem.”

In this sense, they indicate that the Donald Trump administration has taken “bold and decisive” measures to protect its citizens and support neighboring countries in the fight against drug trafficking.
The publication of the State Department occurs in the middle of the growing tensions between the US and Venezuela, after Trump displayed military vessels in the Caribbean to fight drug trafficking. So far, US authorities have annihilated three vessels, which say, come from Venezuela and transport drugs.
For its part, Venezuela condemns the US deployment in the vicinity of its territory and considers that Trump’s intention is “a regime change” in the country.
