Santo Domingo.– The INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR SANTO DOMINGO 2025 (FILSD 2025) It will resume its program this Saturday, September 27, after the preventive suspension of activities scheduled for Friday 26 due to adverse weather conditions.
The decision was adopted by the Ministry of Cultureorganizer of the event, after the Emergency Operations Center (COE) Discontinue the alerts emitted by the rains and the tropical disturbance that affected the country.
La Filsd, which has as its scenario the Juan Pablo Duarte Culture Square, will resume his agenda with an intense day headed by the Minister of Culture, Roberto Ángel Salcedo.
Among the most prominent acts are the official opening of the Frank Moya Pons Paviliona space dedicated to the historian honored in recognition of his valuable contributions to historiography and Dominican cultural heritage. The minister will also lead the inauguration of the Pavilion of Good Wordsconceived to promote reflection and use of positive language.

Likewise, the Children’s Pavilionwhich will offer special program for the little ones. It should be noted that children’s literature is the thematic axis of Filsd 2025, with more than 70 activities designed to stimulate imagination, promote reading habits and contribute to the formation of new generations of readers.
The Filsd 2025, which will run until October 5, reaffirms its condition of The most important literary event in the countrywith an agenda of more than 600 activities, 15 thematic pavilions and the participation of 39 national and 24 international publishers.
The fair also stands out for the participation of the Network of Fairs and Literary Festivals of Latin America as a guest of honor, which consolidates its international projection, also supported by certification Country brand since 2023.
