With the results, the country ended the competition in sixth place in the medal board, with 39 podiums, 13 gold, 16 silver and 10 bronzes. Italy was the one who finished first on the board, with 18 gold, 17 silver and 11 bronzes (46 medals), followed by the United States and China.
