The proposal consists of ten hand -woven structures, that simulate bird nests and offer visitors a place of rest and contemplation. Within each nest you can listen to the recorded voices of ten Bogota writers and ten from Mexico City, who share their poetry.

“Within each nest there is a voice of a poet from Mexico City and one from Bogotá, and, well, the idea is to offer a space of contemplation, of rest, of joy, and also of reflection on more careful ways of inhabiting cities ”, explained.
The installation invites you to read, listen and inhabit the space as if it were a natural refuge in the middle of the city.
For Yunuen Díaz, The song of the birds and the voice of the poets have the same purpose: sensitize about the environment and the way we inhabit it.
“Very important to me, which is the recovery of these knowledge, of this knowledge of the fabric and the material itself that, as you want, is biodegradable and that was also very important to me, ”he explained.
The work is inspired by the motto of the Biennial, Essay on happiness, and seeks to create moments of joy through reading and symbolic contact with nature.
The production of the nests was possible thanks to the work with artisans from the municipality of Apulo (Cundinamarca), recognized for its tradition in the basketry. Although the community came to have more than 200 teachers of the trade, today just a dozen remains active.
With them the pieces were elaborated using Chusque, a biodegradable local material that resembles the reed used in Mexico, thus rescuing an ancestral knowledge shared in both countries.
