The summit of the Americas is a hemispheric forum where heads of state and government of the continent meet to address common challenges in areas such as democracy, development, security, human rights and regional cooperation.
During a reception offered by Trump within the framework of the 80th UN General Assembly, Abinader spoke with the American president.
“We reiterate the invitation to accompany us at the summit of the Americas to be held in our country in December of this year.”
