Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) assigned to the REDI-3 Los Llanos, specifically from Detachment 351 and the Regional Anti-Drug Intelligence Unit (Uria-35), seized 2.28 kg of cocaine when they carried out review work in the citizen’s attention position (PAC) “The Tables”, located in the Biruaca municipality of the Apure state. The incident occurred on September 25, within the framework of the operation “Return Caras 2025”.
During the control procedure, aimed at vehicles, luggage and people, the apprehension of a citizen was achieved, who transported two cocaine wrappers, with a total weight of 2 kilograms with 280 grams, which hid among his belongings. The individual was traveling in a public transport vehicle from the municipality of Pedro Camejo (San Juan de Payara) for San Fernando de Apure.
As part of the procedure, a cell phone was also retained. The case was notified to the Prosecutor 15 of the Public Ministry, before which the apprehended for the respective legal process was available.
This successful operation reinforces Fanb’s commitment in the struggle for the security of the nation, intercepting drug cargoes that sought to circulate through the Venezuelan territory. The actions will continue permanently to dismantle the criminal networks that operate in the area.
