The CEOFANB commander, Domingo Hernández Lárez, informed that so far from 2025, the seizure of 60,637 kilograms of drugs has been achieved, thanks to the deployments that are carried out throughout the national territory in the fight against criminal gangs and the traffic of illegal substances.
In that sense, Hernández Lárez, assured that since the Country, the US Anti -Drug Agency, the figures for drug seizures have increased. “In 2001, the DEA seized 8,000 kilos and the average we have since they left is 50,000 annual.”
He also explained that in the last four years it has been possible to seize a total of 200 thousand 102 kilograms of drugs, something that accounts for the will to keep the territory free of this scourge and the commitment of popular-military-political commitment.
He added that on average, 50 thousand kilograms of illegal substances per year have been seized, a figure that significantly exceeds historical records and is a sign of the tireless work of the CEOFANB.
Fight against criminal gangs
During the act of XX CEOFANB ANNIVERSARY, The strategic commander made a balance of the achievements. And he assured that thanks to the Binational Peace operation, 200 grenades of mortars of criminal groups that sought to operate in the country, as well as 3,000 explosive artifacts, 1,800 meters of explosive cord, 135 short weapons, 220 long weapons and 212 engines.
He also stressed that the CEOFANB reaches every corner of the country to provide protection to the population jointly with the Ministry of Interior Justice and Peace, which has made possible the destruction of 96 clandestine tracks in this year. “There is not a clandestine track in the country.” He said.
Hernández Lárez, said that today there are 178 strategic operations, deployed throughout the national territory against organized crime structures and transnational threats and stressed that once control is achieved in each situation, there are people in the site.

This tactical approach implies abandoning traditional polygons for a “due study of the area of operations”, guaranteeing the active and sovereign presence of the FANB in every corner of the Bolivarian Republic.
