Paraguay Chancellor ratifies support to Edmundo González after meeting with Urruchurtu

The Chancellor of Paraguay, Rubén Ramírez, ratified his support and also his commitment to the process led by the president -elect, Edmundo González, and María Corina Machado


The Paraguayan Foreign Minister, Rubén Ramírez, ratified during a meeting in New York with Pedro Urruchurtu, international relations coordinator of the command with Venezuela, Paraguay’s support for Edmundo González, who according to the opposition was the winner of last year’s presidential elections.

The information It was announced by the Paraguayan Foreign Minister through a statement, in which he reported the meeting, which occurred within the framework of the UN General Assembly.

“Ramírez ratified his support and also his commitment to the process led by Edmundo González and María Corina Machado,” the document said.

Likewise, they highlighted “the need to continue working together and from different fronts to make possible the restoration of democracy in the country.”

For his part, Pedro Urruchurtu thanked Paraguay “his permanent support for the struggle for democracy and freedom in Venezuela.”

Last January, Venezuela broke diplomatic relations with Paraguay and withdrew the diplomatic personnel accredited in the country, after Santiago Peña’s support for Edmundo González; what for Nicolás Maduro represented the ignorance of international law and the principle of non -intervention.
