In a forum carried out in South Korea, with the participation of 60 countries, The Dominican Vice Minister of Agriculture Production, Eulalio Ramírez, highlighted the support of President Luis Abinader to the Food Productive System.
He said that the Dominican president has doubled the financing to the field, has expanded support and incentives to producers, applying new technologies and innovation, strengthening technical assistance programs, traceability, health and safety.
He indicated that production has also been diversified and zoned with the incorporation of new crops, such as table grapes, blueberries and macadamia, among others, which have high value and important market niches.
He affirmed that the achievements of the agricultural sector have occurred for the effective work of the agricultural team, headed by Minister Limber Cruz. Ramírez participated in representation of the country in the World Forum on Sustainable Agricultural Production, organized by the Saemoul Undog Center in South Korea, which also held its second general meeting with more than 60 guest countries.
He said that these relationships will be strengthened with the participation of the Saemoul Undog Center, supporting projects to impact rural communities for integration women and young people, within the strategies that this center of a new rurality with more organized, more productive and solidarity communities drives worldwide.

He said that despite the fact that our country was affected by COVID-19, international war conflicts, raw materials and the effects of climate change, “we have maintained the food supply, both for our population, for the 12 million tourists and our neighbor Haiti that our country comes from the majority of the foods they consume.”
