Carla Da Silva’s mother on Wednesday 24 was his full freedom, as did that of all political prisoners. For 50 days, the administrator’s family is unaware of her whereabouts after having been transferred from the headquarters of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin) known as El Helicoid.
Miriam Marrero, mother of the political dam, asked on the day of the Virgen de las Mercedes, patron of persons deprived of liberty, who is granted their freedom. «You who as a mother went through this suffering (…) You understand my pain, I ask you to make me that great miracle. Freedom for my daughter Carla Rosaura da Silva Marrero and for all the political prisoners of my country ».

Carla Da Silva was arrested on May 5, 2020 during a children’s party in Caracas, after commenting that she knew one of those involved in Operation Gideon, as the authorities called the attempt at military incursion on Venezuelan coasts.
The administrator was transferred to the headquarters of the extinct Faes in La Quebradita, where her relatives denounced that she was tortured to instill in that plot, and three days later she was transferred to the Helicoid. She was accused of conspiracy and association to commit crimes and sentenced to 21 years in prison in May 2024 by Judge Hennit Carolina López.
The Prison Observatory urged the authorities to release all political prisoners and stop the forced disappearances and isolation of the detainees.
