Táchira Court of Control decreed conviction consisting in 21 years, 4 months and 15 days in prison for Armando Ruiz Díaz (79) for his responsibility in sexual abuse against two children, seven and eight years old; respectively, the Public Ministry reported.
Such a fact was discovered on June 23 of this year, after a complaint made by the mother of one of the victims before the Bolivarian National Police in the Samuel Darío Maldonado municipality (La Luna) of the Táchira state. According to the investigation, the mother of one of the victims told the officials that her son confessed that the man had abused him when they worked alone in a plantation.
In this sense, medical and forensic evaluations determined that the child had injuries, as well as behaviors associated with people who have been victims of abuse.
As the investigations advanced, another child was presented to denounce Ruiz Díaz under the same modus operandi. In his statement he added that the farmer had taken it by force. His testimony was corroborated after medical exams.
Due to the findings, Ruiz Díaz was apprehended two days later at his home; Located in the Caño Azul of the town known as La Land. Once on the site, the farmer offered resistance, insults and threatened the officials. The Prosecutor’s Office requested to prosecute it for the Sexual Abuse Commission with continuous penetration to the detriment of the two children
