Subachoque celebrates an unprecedented achievement when positioning itself as the municipality with the strongest fiscal management of Cundinamarca, according to the Fiscal Performance Index (IDF) 2024 of the National Planning Department (DNP). The municipality went from 38th in 2023 to number 1 in the departmental ranking, consolidating a notable advance in just one year.
Nationally, Subachoque occupies the third place among the 236 municipalities of Typology 2 and the 13th place among the 1,103 municipalities evaluated. With a 74.3 score, he entered the exclusive group of municipalities qualified as ‘solvents’, a category that only reached five municipalities in Cundinamarca.

This result places it less than three points from Bogotá (77) and Less than seven from Samacá (Boyacá), the only municipality classified as ‘sustainable’ with 81.1 points.
Mayor Jorge Camacho stressed that this achievement is product of rigorous planning, responsible management of finance and transparent management of resources. “We collect 100 % of the municipal taxes, with an increase of 7.3 % compared to the previous period. In addition, Subachoque has no public debt and its operating expenses are below the national average”He said.

The IDF is a tool that evaluates the fiscal viability of the municipalities, its ability to generate their own income, the level of indebtedness, investment in projects and the planning of resources. Its annual publication, Established by Law 617 of 2000, seeks to guarantee transparency and social control of public management.
