You Workers of the National Union of Flight Protection Workers (SNTPV) decided to suspend the strike which was scheduled to start this Wednesday (24) at airports across the country.
The suspension occurred after a meeting of representatives of the category with Nav Brasil, the country’s state air navigation company, at the Superior Labor Court (TST) in Brasilia.
At the meeting, It has been agreed that Nav Brasil will revise and implement the workers’ positions and salaries in the next 12 months and application of 9% immediate readjustment in the health plan.
At the meeting this Monday (22), the controllers decided not to stop.
The president of the Flight Controllers Union, Rogerio Varela, said that the suspension will be negotiated by the implementation of the Career Plan, with the intermediation of the Superior Labor Court (TST).
In a statement on social networks, the union reported that “the suspension of the stoppage means a change in strategy, not a surrender. We will continue with total strength and determination negotiations with NAV Brazil, pressing on the agenda of claims, which is legitimate and necessary for the entire category.”
