Puerto Plata.- A big and resounding success constituted the 17th edition of the Fair Ecotourism livestock Cupey 2025, a traditional event that is organized annually by the Association of Livestocks Puerto Plata Central (AGPPC).
The aforementioned Fair reaffirmed with once again its relevance as the main event in its kind throughout the region constituting a large platform of various agricultural, tourist and cultural activities of the northern region.
It was carried out for four days of intense activities, with the assistance of thousands of local, national and international visitors who gathered in the round urbanization of the Cupey section, in the mountainous part of this municipality San Felipe de Puerto Plata to enjoy a wide variety of livestock exhibitions, agricultural samples, artistic presentations, family talks and attractions for all ages.
It is emphasized that the traditional livestock fair was consolidated as a meeting point between producers, entrepreneurs, agricultural technicians and the community in general, which was attended by different business and livestock exhibitors, highlighting races high genetic quality, as well as products derived from the Dominican field.
Likewise, conferences and workshops were carried out on the importance of work in the field, prevention and care in mental health. Among the most prominent moments for farmers were the judgments of females and males cattle.
In addition, the contest of the supreme and traditional livestock auction was positioned as one of the busiest events of the program, achieving record participation and a significant revitalization of the local agricultural sector.
The president of the Puerto Plata Central Livestock Association (AGPPC), Juan Almonte, thanked all the participants, sponsors, authorities, exhibitors and collaborators, who made this edition possible, highlighting the commitment of the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and the strengthening of rural identity.
It should be noted that the Cupey Ecotourism Livestock Fair continues to be a model of community integration, promotion of the Dominican field and economic dynamization for the province of Puerto Plata, whose next edition will be made from September 24 to 27 of the coming year 2026.
