The Bolivarian militia was installed as part of the strategic actions aimed at strengthening the integral defense of the nation. In that sense, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, stressed that this initiative reaffirms the people’s commitment to national sovereignty. “From here, from Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, we tell the world that the people are here, with its Bolivarian National Armed Forces, with its citizen security agencies and its militia arranged to everything to defend our homeland.”
During the closing of the Great March of the Bolivarian Militia, Meléndez announced that this installation represents a tribute to the militia people. “With this installation we close the great march of the Bolivarian militia, in honor of this entire militia and militia,” says the VTV portal note.
The mayor rejected the statements of US President against women members of the Bolivarian National Militia. “Women respect themselves, Venezuelan women are always at the forefront, in communities; of community members, scientists, teachers in all social sectors of the country, there is the Venezuelan woman.”
He reiterated that Venezuela defends peace and life, but is prepared for any threat. “All Caracas entries will be protected by the people, so they will not go through Caracas,” he warned, ensuring that national consciousness remains firm and that the people are willing to act with unity and determination.
He also referred to the interests of the Empire in the country’s resources, so he calls to maintain surveillance. “From here we remember the words of our eternal commander Hugo Chávez, who repeatedly warned about the claims of the empire to besiege Venezuela with the aim of appropriating its natural resources, especially oil, but we have to be alert, united as one, as true patriots that we defend our Venezuelan patria.”
In that order of ideas, he urged the population to activate intelligence mechanisms at all levels. “The participation of popular power has been key to preventing actions that intended to alter national stability. The articulation between the instances of the State and the communities remains as a protection axis.”
On this day, the streets of Caracas were filled with color and enthusiasm in a massive mobilization for peace and sovereignty. The militia evidenced the support of territorial defense policies and commitment to national unity, where the force of civic-military deployment in the capital was demonstrated.
