MEXICO CITY.- After eight years, the most important event of rallies motoring in Mexico returns to Puebla, the 2025 Pan American race will have its goal in the Zócalo of the capital, on October 10 in its second stage. Governor Alejandro Armenta during a press conference with national media in the house of representation of the state government, said that it is a great opportunity to publicize the entity offers Mexico and the world.
In coordination with the Secretariat of the Navy, Ministry of National Defense (Defense), National Guard (GN) and the Secretariat of State Public Security (SSP), the head of the Executive indicated that they will deploy various operations during the development of the race for the security of competitors and their teams, as well as the attendees. “For us every visitor who arrives in Puebla has special attention and priority. The motorists will have full accompaniment,” he said.
Under the national strategy of rebuilding the social fabric, Governor Alejandro Armenta explained that motoring is also an associative process that unites families, such as culture and art. He added that at each point where motorists make overnight or services, the Government of Puebla will accompany with cultural, artistic and gastronomic activities.
In her speech, the Director of Image and Public Relations of the State Executive, Claudia Hernández, informed that according to information from the organizers of the race, it is estimated that the economic spill per spell ranges between 8 million pesos and the hotel occupancy in more than 450 rooms, between the participating groups and the visitors who follow this event.
The director of the Pan American race, Carlos Cordero, emphasized that with the participation of Puebla, the government headed by Alejandro Armenta, contributes to an important tourist promotion for the entity, in order to show its cultural, historical and natural wealth. He stressed that the October 10 competition will leave a great economic spill in the hotel, restaurant, services and commercial sector, which will benefit 50 municipalities. “We are very happy to return to Puebla and eternally grateful to the Federal Government and with Governor Armenta. For us it is vital that the State is on the route for its historical, gastronomic and cultural legacy,” he said.
He explained that the race is free and in collaboration with the Government of the State of Puebla, for Saturday, October 11, a new route was held that will pass near the Epatlán Lagoon, in Izúcar de Matamoros and later they will make a stop in the municipality of San Pedro Cholula, where competitors will live with the fans. “It is very pleased to add the strength of Puebla, because the objective of the race is to promote Mexico, for all it is clear the historical and cultural potential of Puebla,” he said.
The 2025 Pan -American race in Puebla will take place from October 9 to 16 in commemoration of its 75th anniversary, begins in Chiapas and concludes in the state of Zacatecas, in total 8 entities are part of the route on a 4,000 kilometers route. It is important to mention that the race is transmitted to 189 countries with 80 crews of 14 different nationalities such as Germany, France, Belgium and the United States.
