He National Security Department (DHS) announced on Tuesday that more than two million illegal migrants left USAnecessarily or by his own will, since Donald Trump went up to power at the end of January.
“Two million illegal immigrants have left the United States in less than 250 days, including approximately 1.6 million that have voluntarily self -employed and more than 400,000 deportations,” the department said in a press release. The text does not explain how these voluntary outputs have been counted.
The DHS transformed a telephone application that the previous government of the Democrat Joe Biden had launched, to welcome the asylum applicants in the country, and transformed it at the beginning of Trump’s mandate into a “self -exporting” application, in which the undocumented could announce to the government their willingness to leave the country.
The number of illegal migrants who entered the United States over the four years of Biden government is the subject of debate among specialists. “For four consecutive months, the United States Customs and Border Protection Office (CBP) has not released any illegal immigrant within the country,” the statement explained.
The American Immigration and Customs Control (ICE) service announced last week that it plans to practically double its troops, after receiving more than 150,000 employment applications.
ICE is carrying out raids throughout the country, which causes protests from defense organizations of migrants and democratic governors. The fight against illegal immigration is one of Trump’s second mandate.
