Gustavo Gutiérrez decided to resign from his position as Secretary General of East Petrolero, citing irreconcilable differences with members of the leadership. Exclusive to ten, he assured that his departure responds to internal situations that could no longer tolerate the lack of commitment of some managers.
“I made that decision for things that I did not like. In six months that I was in command of the East, six months have been paid, both players, coaching staff, users and administrative.
The leader highlighted the economic effort he made during his management. “I have put more than 14 million Bolivians to the East, and there were people inside the board of directors that loved me outside. The club was destined to spend the same thing as several clubs that disappeared. East’s debt when I arrived was almost between 4 and 5 million dollars. Sele owed eleven months to the players; now almost everyone is up to date,” he said.
Gutiérrez said that the club’s debt fell significantly and that all the resources entered by Sponsors were allocated entirely to the East Petrolero. “I could quietly give money to the East and later charge me with television rights. I think that the east’s debt is now no more than 1 million dollars,” he said.
Regarding resource management, the leader indicated that he constantly sought financial support and played business doors. “The leader has to look for resources, I went to companies; you have to do management. I am very calm, I did everything within my reach. I call the businessmen and the querendones of the club to continue contributing,” he said.
Gutiérrez also denounced internal sabotage actions: “I tired that there are people in the board of directors. East, ”he said.
On the professional workforce, Gutiérrez announced that he will meet with the players after Tuesday’s game against Independiente in Real Santa Cruz. “With the players I have not spoken, but I will ask you to stay until the end of the year,” he said, looking for sports stability despite their departure.
