The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, inspected the work of beautification and adaptation to the Church of La Candelaria, “where the people come to ask and thank Dr. José Gregorio Hernández.”
He informed that the works are given as a preparation action for what will be a great feast of faith next October “also the different spaces of this emblematic square, we are attending them, through a multidisciplinary team of the Ministry of Popular Power for Public Works.”
He said that “Caracas will be a city of meeting and prayer, on the occasion of the canonization of the saint of the town and the miraculous caraqueña, Mother Carmen Rendiles.” He also said that in the parish La Pastora at the Doctor José Gregorio Hernández Museum, “we are making improvements.”
Meléndez said that the works are carried out through the point and circle of the emblematic spaces for religious tourism of the capital city.
