The president of the Republic Nicolás Maduro, referred to his program with Maduro + to the opinion studies that demonstrate the overwhelming popular support of the government after the threats made by the United States by placing 8 military ships threatening the coast of the country.
He said that all the measurements he has seen, “they say exactly what has happened … Six weeks ago the US aggression began and what they have achieved is to create a consensus in defense of the homeland greater than 90%,” he said during the 91 edition of his weekly program with mature + made in Maiquetía, La Guaira state.
The president commented other data such as the reduction of support to the extreme right to 6%, while 68% are willing to take arms if Venezuela is attacked. In this regard, he indicated that the rejection of the extreme right is above 90%.
He added that all this threat against the country has also caused, according to opinion polls, the maximum support that Maduro’s presidency has had since he is in power, product of the will to close ranks in defense of the country
“If they were looking for an imbalance and division in Venezuela, they achieved exactly the opposite,” said the head of state, while saying that “today we have more international support than before the start of this aggression.”
Serenity and firmness
President Maduro said that part of the growing support that the Government has, has occurred because it has “taken this situation with support, serenity and firmness … they have a scandalous and extravagant narrative, it is not credible for anyone.”

He added that the world does not want war, and “the American people themselves do not want wars either.”
