Villagers of the Mantaro neighborhood, in the district of Huancán, made a plant in the Plaza Humanmarca to demand the increase in transport units of the university line, noting that the main affected are school and university students.

The neighbors denounced that only about 10 units are currently circulating, which they consider insufficient to cover the Huancán – Avenida Huancavelica -UNCP -UTP route. Due to the lack of buses, they indicated that passengers must wait for up to 30 minutes and walk between eight and ten blocks to reach their destination.

The Transit and Transport Manager, Jorge Quispe Ávila, said that, under the protection of administrative silence, Indecopi has authorized only 12 units for this line, a figure that does not supply the population. Given this situation, the settlers warned that, if they did not find a solution, they could block access to the Huancán dump.
