Beijing In Chinese society, human and robotic life mix more and more. In the houses there are those who have autonomous machines that aspire the garbage, clean the pool, cut the grass or simply help dry the hair. With the equivalent of 2 million pesos (more than 700 thousand yuan) you can buy a humanoid that does receptionist or barman tasks, or even a replica of the famous scientist Albert Einstein or the poet his SHI, with which he can talk.
In the Asian giant there are robots of various sizes and functions to perform all kinds of daily activities, while advancing in sports competitions and in their own market to become more autonomous.
This is how China leads the world of robotics and artificial intelligence. According to the official CCTV medium, in the first half of 2025, the number of investments and financing in the field of humanoid robots reached an amount of 15.35 billion yuan, that is, 2.16 billion dollars, and 41 thousand 696 new Chinese invention patents have been added to the 190 thousand existing related to these machines.
Only in eight months last year, 69 humanoid robots financing events were held worldwide, of which 56 (81 percent) took place in this country.
As scientists work to improve their level of autonomy, skill and resistance, they join the daily life of the most developed cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai and Jiangsu, among others.
In the pequinas streets you can find, above all, robots dogs and machines that clean the common areas of commercial and supermarkets, serve coffee and take the food to the hotel room. In shows, they also participate as dancers, either traditional dance or Hits current.
Fairs that impress even the natives
In technological fairs, which are very common throughout China, are the most advanced robots and humanoids, and the country’s same inhabitants are amazed and praise each of the skills of these machines.
In these spaces, such as the International Service Trade Fair, it is exposed to sports competition medalists, which mimic athletes, soccer players and boxers. The latter are the most celebrated and with which fathers and mothers seek their children to take pictures. There are also pianists, drummers and dogs for search and rescue operations or revision of railways, as well as drones, among others.
If it is about buying, in Yizhuang there is a mall robot, where there is everything: from small machines of less than a thousand yuan (2,750 pesos), to robots dogs of more than 25 thousand yuan (68 thousand 750 pesos), and the most exclusive: interactive bionic humanoid Interactive communication and reproduce poetry, since it has a relevant cultural context.
As you approach these machines, notable differences are still observed with respect to humans, particularly in gesture, but there are body parts that look identical, such as hands. Although it is strange to talk to them, it is also amazing that they answer questions, from a simple “how are you?”
Technological and robotics development leads to universities to have a close relationship with companies to promote advances, such as factory work. An example is the Wuxi University of Technology, in Jiangsu, which has an intelligent manufacturing center in which there are production lines that incorporate artificial intelligence, so that students can learn and solve problems that allow minimal or zero human intervention in works such as storage.
