During a videoconference called Voces del Alba Azul, where representatives from 17 countries participate in solidarity with Venezuelan fishermen and fishermen and the Caribbean Sea; The Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, said that the people of the fishing sector exercise their sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as defend peace.
With this activity they intend to create a large international solidarity network, which seeks to establish a milestone regarding the threat situation that exists due to the presence of military vessels in the United States off the coast of Venezuela.
Loyo recalled that, in recent days, this sector was assaulted by the claw of imperialism, referring to the assault suffered by the “Carmen Rosa” boat, retained for more than eight hours by a group of US marines when they made their usual work in the Venezuelan special economic zone (ZEE).
He informed that the spokespersons for the Fishermen and Aquacultroles Councils of Anzoátegui, Nueva Esparta, Miranda and Aragua are taking command along with thousands of fishermen throughout the national territory, to carry out the orientations given by the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, who said they must actively organize to continue the task and safe fishing Agrifood.
Loyo reiterated that this virtual meeting in support of the fishing sector is in order to create the cardumen law and solidarity network with all fishermen of the Caribbean Sea, an initiative that has been developed due to the need to leave in the defense of that dignified people and the sovereign exercise.
“That the sea is not what separates us, that the sea is what we join us, and that we join us based on the sovereignty of each country and maritime space, but especially in terms of life,” he said.
The countries connected to this videoconference are: Italy, Grenada, Argentina, Chile, Spain, Suriname, Iran, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Portugal, Brazil, Netherlands and Cuba, in addition to Venezuela.
Blue Alba is a project created for the development of fishing and aquifer capabilities of the countries that make up the block and the formation of a fishing fleet of the Bolivarian Alliance for the peoples of our America-Treaty of Trade of the Peoples (Alba-TCP), as a company of development and expansion capacity is proposed.
The fishing sector has an important presence in the markets of each region of Venezuela and in the fishing communities, and is part of the economic growth factor and sustainable actions for the impulse of aquaculture, and has been threatened in the latter by the presence of US officials in the Caribbean, who remain in the area under the false excuse of fighting drug trafficking.
