To ask for the peace and sovereignty of the country, Aragüeñas women celebrated this Sunday the day “Voices of Peace, women who transform”, activity framed on International Peace Day.
During the day that took place in the Plaza Bolívar de Maracay, the females read a manifesto in which they highlighted the historical role of Venezuelan women, as guarantors of peace and justice, facing the challenges with courage and defending sovereignty.
The activity was headed by the Vice Minister of Women’s Productive Development, Maryuri Bargiela, accompanied by the Single Authority for Women’s Affairs in Aragua, Gipsy Colmenares, among other regional authorities.
“Do not be wrong because Venezuela has enough women who will not hesitate to defend their homeland, Venezuela has who defends it,” said the vice minister.
For its part, the Affairs Authority for Women, commented that Venezuela will never be given to those who seek to seize their resources: “Today, when the American empire intends to impose its destruction with the lie disguised as a fight against drugs, we raise the truth, Venezuela is hope,” he emphasized.
During the event a floral offering was held to the father of the country, Simón Bolívar, and a cultural act in charge of the Juana Ramírez Movement “La Advanzadora”.
